About Us

Missouri Ganesha Temple is a registered non-profit organization governed by panel of volunteers to provide a place of worship and celebrate Hindu traditions from all parts of India and create communal harmony.

Mission
  • To promote equality among all devotees, provide religious, cultural, spiritual activities and humanitarian services
  • To host the daily performance of pujas and regular festival celebrations by temple priests to bestow a spiritual ambience for communion with Deities.
  • To facilitate the performance of samskaras and rituals by the local Hindu community.
  • To serve as a community center for local Hindus to serve God through cultural activities.

To preserve and promote the Eternal Values of Sanatana Dharma and foster the happiness of individuals and families as well as the collective prosperity and harmony of the community.

Pandit Shivshankar Shastry Hemmanur

  • Hails from Chemlapalli Village, Chittoor District in Andhra Pradesh.
  • Studied Krishna Yajur Veda Kramam at Mahaswami Vidya Peetam in Thenambakkam Patashala.
  • From 2005 to 2010 served as a priest at Sri Ganesh Temple of Nashville, TN.
  • Started the Ekadashavara Rudram chanting in the Nashville, Sri Ganesha Temple.
  • Had a divine inspiration to start a Hindu Temple dedicated to Lord Ganesh as the principal deity.
  • Languages Known: Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, Marathi, English.

Pandit Bhaskar Shastry

  • Hails from Pune, India
  • Well versed in Vaideekam and performs several rituals and religious ceremonies in both temple and at home in accordance with Hindu traditions.
  • Worked as a priest in Kanchi Sankara Mutt, Pune, India until July 2021.
  • Ensures Devotee participation by involving them in Pooja chants.
  • Languages Known: Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi, Marathi, English.
